| Literature: | The photograph for this mantel or table clock is in the Merzbach collection. The confusion between Dreyfuss and Merzbach is probably due to the fact that these two collections were stolen at about the same time and both contained a fair number of decorative objects. | ||||||||||||
| Provenance and Comments: | Based on the brief description of this object in Rose Valland's crate inventory, one would have to surmise that this object is the same one as the one packed at the Jeu de Paume for Goering in the first half of 1941. | ||||||||||||
