Provenance and Comments: According to Rose Valland's crate inventory, this crate was retrieved from the Chateau de Chambord.. Returned to M.A. for sale. This item might be the same as one referred to as the head of a young boy--Dorian Grey--listed as restituted on 24 April 1949. But more information is needed before establishing that it is, in fact, the same object.
