| Provenance and Comments: | Tausch 13. Sold by Rochlitz to Petrides, Paris. [Rochlitz Report p. 8]. On February 9, 1942 the art dealer Gustav Rochlitz exchanged seven ‘degenerate’ paintings by Matisse, Braque, Chirico and Leger with a painting from a Master from Frankfurt, titled: 'The Adoration of the Magi’. The paintings belonged to Georges Bernheim, Paul Rosenberg and Alphonse Kann. The ownership of this painting was settled with the Centre Beaubourg in Paris. | ||||||||
