Provenance and Comments: The artist Francis Harburger deposited for safety this painting in the vaults of the Alliance Israélite Universelle in Paris in March 1940. A unit of the ERR plundered it together with the rest of the content of the AIU in July 1940. The painting was shipped to the "Institut der NSDAP für Erforschung der Judenfrage." The ERR moved it and other properties to Hungen, Hesse province, for safekeeping, where the American army found it in April 1945. From there it went to the Offenbach CCP and then to the Wiesbaden CCP for processing.
