Provenance and Comments: | Tausch 2: On March 11, 1941 the art dealer Gustav Rochlitz exchanged two "degenerate" paintings for three Old Masters, one by a German Old Master, another by a Flemish Master and one by Franz Krüger. The"degenerate" works were looted from the collections of Paul Rosenberg and produced by Matisse and Renoir. |
