| Provenance and Comments: | Extensive research into the "Juralides" family has not borne any fruit. Moreover, the address provided by the ERR is wrong. A careful search conducted by French and American researchers has led to the tentative conclusion that Juralides might be in fact the Javal family which lived at 5, boulevard de la Tour Maubourg. This painting was repatriated to France but never restituted to its rightful owner. It now is part of the collection at the Louvre in Paris, France, and classified as MNR 709. Moreover, the French authorities modified its attribution and consider it to be a work by Peter Binoit. For further information, see MNR 709 | ||||||||||||||||
