| Provenance and Comments: | Dr. Tomforde inventoried this item on 7 September 1942. Slated for destruction. Although the ERR reported this painting as unsigned and consigned it to be eliminated, there is only one unrestituted painting that matches the sparse description given by the ERR--geometric still life--and that is the description given by Mr. Kapferer of a still life with components in it which would depict geometrical units within it. Hence, unless proven otherwise, we will ascribe this "unsigned" painting to Roger de la Fresnaye with a question mark. |
