Rechts vor einer Säule ein Papagei. Das Bild ist am Saum der weitgebauschten Pelzdecke links datiert: 1775 und in der Mitte signiert J. Reynolds pinx. | Provenance and Comments: | The description on the ERR card for "Portrait of a lady" differs from the description found in the ERR inventory for Hugo Simon's looted works. For instance, the ERR card attributes the work to Joshua Reynolds. However, the description in the ERR inventory attributes this work to Wilkins after Reynolds. Hence, since the inventory was created after the card, we chose to follow the attribution to Wilkins. | ||||||||
