| Collection: | (HAL) Halphen--The HAL collection is actually a misnomer since it combines assets belonging to two branches of the Halphen family and spouses, commingled by ERR staff members responsible for carding and producing inventories as a single Halphen collection. All objects plundered under HAL were removed from three locations in Paris which belonged to Emile Halphen and Fernand Halphen between July 1940 and February 1941. | ||||||||

| Description: | Holzgeschnitztes, graugestrichenes und vergoldetes Gestell mit 7 kannelierten Volutenbeinen. Geschweifte, konturierte Zarge mit vertieften Feldern, in deren Mitte rechts und links je eine Volute, in der Mitte ein Akanthusornament mit Blütenzweigen sitzen, das sich ähnlich auf der Rücklehne wiederholt. An den Baden der Lehne je ein stehender Pinienzapfen. Kannelierte Armlehnen, die in Voluten endigen. Gestreifter, geblümter Bezug aus blauer Seide, mit Messingnägeln befestigt. Loses Witzkissen. Sehr ähnlich Hal 71 a,b. Aus Besitz Fernand Halphen. Holz H. 100 cm Br.173 cm. |
