This item was packed at the ERR headquarters for Hermann Goering. It was handled by Dr. Bruno Lohse. A Hans Makart painting acquired by Lohse in May 1942 for Goering entitled "mythological scene" (95 x 146 cm) was recovered by the US forces and sent to the MCCP. The back of the painting indicates "Dr. Lohse, Mai 1942" with a Goering number: 727. The MCCP number is 5337. |
