The Gestapo stole this painting in Nice at the Credit Commercial de France on 28 April 1944 as part of a lot of 20 paintings deposited there by the Chaleyssin Gallery for Mrs. Zack [Zach], who, meanwhile, died at Auschwitz concentration camp. The ERR did not inventory this painting. |
