Postwar French authorities noted that this painting had been stolen by the ERR on 17 November 1942. However, there are no notations on the ERR card to that effect. Moreover, as an UNB object, it is unlikely that it would have been confiscated so late since all UNB objects were confiscated between October 1940 and mid-1941. Considered for possible exchange. |
