Provenance and Comments: | These items were in a crate supplied by the Schenker company and stored at the German Embassy in Paris in the summer of 1940. See the rest of these stained glass pieces under II, 46--there were overall six stained glass pieces. According to the Koblenz records (B323/288), four were in crate E 163, two ended up in crate E 199, despite what the ERR cards indicate (six in crate E 199). Nevertheless, Rose Valland recorded just two in crate E 163 under the wrong alphanumeric (II, 66 instead of II, 46). |
