Provenance and Comments: | This painting was part of a group placed in safety with the Louvre on 19 October 1939. It was subsequently confiscated as "non-Aryan" on 7 July 1941. The ERR did not inventory or card this painting as part of Mr. Reichenbach's seized collection. It was still missing as of 18 January 1952. According to the annotated version of the "Répertoire des biens spoliés," this work was the subject of a negotiated financial settlement at an unknown date. |
