Provenance and Comments: | Tausch 28. Bruno Lohse approved the exchange of this painting by Matisse with Paris art broker, Max Stoecklin, for a painting by Rudolf Alt, "Faustinatempel" on 16 November 1943. Paris auctioneer André Schoeller provided the appraisal for this and another painting, owing to his good standing with Bruno Lohse. This painting is now at the National Gallery of Washington, DC.
