Provenance and Comments: | Sold to A. Miedl. [Goering report, p.149]. According to a letter from Paul Rosenberg to Fernand Javal dated May 7, 1943, this painting belonged to Fernand Javal and was on deposit with Paul Rosenberg at his storage place in Libourne. which was plundered by the ERR. However, the measurements provided by Mr. Roganeau in the Libourne inventory of seized Rosenberg works does not correspond to the dimensions provided by the ERR. |
