Provenance and Comments: | ERR specialist Dr. Paetow ordered the seizure of the Mesquich collection. According to Rose Valland's crate inventory, this item was removed from the Jeu de Paume on 18 March 1943. During the battle of Nikolsburg, this item was removed for safekeeping from the Sala Terrena at Nikolsburg Castle and placed in a Museum (presumably in Mikulov) in May 1945. |
