| Provenance and Comments: | Dr. Paetow worked with Dr. Borchers on the inventory of MA-WA 1 through MA-WA 46. Repatriation documents in the Koblenz records indicate that MA-WA 1 returned to France from Neuschwanstein in October 1945. At present it is not clear whether that refers to a crate or an item. Until proven otherwise, we will treat this information as pertaining to the item MA-WA 1. What is not clear is how this object reached Neuschwanstein from Nikolsburg. | ||||
