| Provenance and Comments: | In Caroline Stern's inventory, there is a painting of a man in a blue uniform which is attributed to the "school of Louis Tocque." However, the ERR art historians at the Jeu de Paume were formal about attributing this painting to a leading woman portraitist of the late 18th century, Marie-Gabrielle Capet. | ||||||||
